About
Grounded is a 52 episode youth magazine series produced by CAAMA Productions and commissioned by National Indigenous Television.
Grounded is a variety show for teenage kids that live in community, bush town, or the city; where real people talk about their lives, share their dreams and show you what they’re made of.
Each week our hosts Natasha and Tyrone, in Alice Springs, take us around the nation to catch up with someone new and find out what gets them going, what they love to do, where they live, what they’ve been up to and what makes them tick.
We showcase some great indigenous music and a rising star or two, performers and young heroes covering dance, music, education, work, art, hanging out, sport and of course, culture!
Grounded shows young indigenous viewers that the sky really is the limit to what you can achieve when you put your mind to it. But to get there, you gotta stay “Grounded”!
Directed by Curtis Marriott and produced by Robyn Nardoo.

Grounded’s first episode features 2 Hip/Hop Rap music clips. The first by Local Knowledge, a Redfern band with their well-known song “Blackfellas”. The second is by an up and coming artist from Griffith in NSW, Konnect-A-Dot whom we hope to be seeing a lot more of in future episodes.
In ‘Video Mail Bag’ Eithan from Rockhampton shows us around his town and does a bit of dance off ‘crumping’ with his mate.
‘Watch This Space’ features an inspirational story of a young Indigenous footballer from Alice Springs Curtly Hampton.
Our host, Natasha Hampton interviews Matty an avid skateboarder who has competed against Tony Hawks.
